Luna sat down and took out a piece of parchment. Dipping her quill in the inkwell she started writing.
“Daddy,
The time has come for Cho and I to do the right thing. Sitting here, hiding isn’t helping Harry and I don’t know about Cho but I’m starting to go stir crazy. I’ll write when I can…”
“Split up? Luna, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Cho replied cautiously. The school year was way past over, and so Cho had no idea if Luna could use magic without the Trace picking it up. After all, Cho was the only one between the two who could use magic without being spied on by the ministry. “I know it might seem a bit suspicious if both of us are together, but don’t you think there’s safety in numbers?”
“Good point, you’re right I was only thinking about the suspicion, not our safety. I’m glad you’re here, you’re ever so clever.”
Luna smiled and started skipping toward the village proper, hair bouncing around her shoulders as she went.
“I just hope things go all right, I’d rather not have to whoop any Death Eater’s until after I’ve had some pumpkin juice.”
“Oh wait, Luna,” Cho called out as Luna started skipping away. Cho jogged lightly before catching up to her. “Wait, for a moment?”
When Luna stopped and threw a questioning glance at her, Cho took out her wand and tapped Luna’s head lightly. The petite blonde shivered for a moment and then promptly disappeared.
“We should probably be disillusioned though…just in case,” Cho remarked before doing the same to herself. The feeling of runny eggs sliding down her neck lasted for a couple of moments before going away. “Just be careful though, Luna. It doesn’t conceal sound.”
